not sure. My flat has always had a real friendly feel to it, Ive always felt safe there from the moment i moved in.
I have had the experience of waking up and the whole bed being rocked gently when i was alone, i never felt afraid. Also whenever i walk out of bedroom i always look down the coridoor as if expecting to see someone there, again im not afraid, its as if a friend may be there.
I recently let a family friend stay there short term and i moved out. Id not mentioned anything to her and within 3 days she said she wished she could buy it as it was just so homely and had a lovely feeling. A week later she had experienced the bed rocking (again she was on her own) and she also had things moved from where she had left them minutes earlier
I went in there last week, the place is empty now and things have been moved around a bit, im still not worried though.
I have a friend who is an investigator of such things and she is going to come and visit soon with her team. She doesnt believe in ghosts so she wants to find out whats going on.
another AB lives in the same block and shes seen things as well as notice things move in her flat
Not in this home, but our first place when we got married had one. My eldest used to be visited by someone dressed as a clown, that just stood and looked at him. Youngest says he saw it too, but it didn't frighten him because he thought it was 'just normal' (he was three at the time).
Sometimes I would sit in the living room and see someone, at the edge of my vision, standing in the kitchen. 'she' would disappear when I looked up.
Our ghost was very cheeky - used to hide things and pinch things (a penchant for saucepan lids) and switch the kettle on when there was no-one in the kitchen.
We found out a few years later that a previous occupant of the house (the first occupant, in the 1920s) had gone insane and killed herself in next-door's kitchen. Funnily enough, the friendlier we became with next-door, the more troublesome our 'ghost' became. Needless to say we didn't mention her when we sold the house.
an old lady died in my son and daughter in laws flat before they bought it. The neighbours said she was a real heavy smoker. My son and his lady say they can often smell lit cigarettes in one particular corner of the living room (where the lady used to sit) They don't smoke. I have never had a ghostly encounter in my life, but each time I sit on their sofa, in that corner, I can smell the smell of someone smoking - very strong smell indeed. To be quite honest I don't know what I believe but it is strange but not scary - rather warming really.
i have the same friendly atmosphere in my house, it was the first house i ever looked at, when viewing to buy one, i knew straight away i wanted to live there, but it did not happen, however many months later it was for sale again, and i was still looking, so here i now live..........fate?
i have lived in many houses, most i hated for some reason, atmosphere i think, and i recently found out the previous owner died in the shed, what better place could a man want
My girlfriends mums house is riddled with them, previously the house was owned by a woman who had care of her nephew and niece. She hung both kids in the fitted wordrobe and then killed herself! Loads of stuff happen there, kids laughing, things dissapearing or being moved, the tv turning on in the middle of the night and so on.I have slept in the bedroom where the kids were killed and could not settle or sleep at all.Her mum says she is used to it and it doesnt bother her anymore. It scares the hell out of me! Also people who have slept in that room have woke up feeling like they are being choked.I **** you not,i belive totaly.
