Strange dreams about my old best friend

I left school 3 years ago and completely lost touch with my best friend so I haven't seen her since. However she's starting appearing in my dreams - popping up in regular things in my day-to-day life. I can get quite paranoid about this kind of this because the last time it happened, i lost someone who used to be very close to me. What does it all mean?
