Right, need your help. Cut a long story short, been seeing a guy at work for a few months, he told me he didn't want a relationship, no probs by me. Last couple of times we've arranged to meet up though, he's completely messed me around - first time (Weds) I kind of believed the excuse, although not 100%, he apologised; Saturday we were supposed to see each other again, he totally stood me up, sent a really cheesy text apology, don't believe his excuses at all and know he's only sending them to either make himself feel less guilty or so that I am around next time he wants a sh@g.

Anyway, blah blah blah, I've decided enough is enough and need to think of a witty reply next time he suggests 'going out for a drink' (code for a booty call). Trouble is we work together (I know, I know) and socialise in the same group of friends, so I can't just avoid and ignore (my normal weapon of choice).

All suggestions appreciated! I want to appear cool, calm and collected and hopefully totally disinterested in him - even if that's not really the case!

trouble is hammerman, if I said that I'm sure they wouldn't believe me and I don't think I could stand the feeling of guilt I'd get from knowing it was only a matter of time until they discovered I'd been telling the truth...
far more annoying than a 'witty put down' (that may come out clearly as though you have been thinking of it for ages and even asked strangers on a website for ideas) to just not reply at all and when he asks why, say oh i was busy, and then forgot.

or just type in "yer...but no...but yer..but no..."
Just say 'Why? Have you finished your homework already?'

Or agree to meet him, don't turn up, then when he texts to apologise say 'ah yeah, i actually forgot to turn up....so sorry......'

or.....text back saying 'Who's that....?'

Or.....(god, i'm full of 'em......) text him saying 'oh it was fantastic on XXday night, i can't believe what time we got in, what the hell were we drinkin etc etc' then text him again str8 away saying 'oops, i think i just sent you a text by mistake'!!!
