Tell your friend to imagine her house is made of mirrors and that she is encompassed in a mirrored bubble ( variation on cloak of mirrors spell).
Without having any idea of who or what has been done that is by far the easiest and most cure all thing I can think of suggesting.
The very fact that someone has used the term "black magick" indicates that they've no idea what they are on about so I really wouldn't worry overly much, and ash buried in a gardn, is precisely that, ash buried in a garden, nothing more or nothing less. I really don't think your firend has anything to worry about.
