im talkin to a woman the other day say.
she says to me.
"im not in love with my fella(she aint married btw)
but im with him cos ive got kids to him ,and who would want me anyway?"
now i was taken aback.
i emailed her back just to check.
but yes shes planning on staying till the kids are older,or he gets fed up and goes.
is this weird to you?

i don't think it's weird but a lot of women and men stay longer in a relationship because they are either stuck in a rut or not brave enough to move on. which is sad in a way
as there must be a lot of unhappy couples out there.

yeh it is common. My sister stayed with her ex till the youngest reached 15 then she divorced him and never looked back.

Yes i can fully understand that ! Its not always easy to break up a family and home for many reasons. I would say the biggest reason is usually financial. For them to afford seperate houses (unless they are wealthy) may mean that the woman has to get a job (if she isnt working) which might not be possible with children. It is always hard to disrupt children without affecting their education or routine etc.
It is easier to put up and shut up until the split has less effect on t he children.
