At what point in a pregnancy do you start to get morning sickness?

morning sickness generally occurs between 4 and 12 weeks although it can go on for the entire term or not even occur at all. Its the luck of the draw really

I had dreadful morning sickness for the full nine months with all three kids and it started around the four week mark. My sister on the other hand sailed through her pregnancy with no sickness at all , so I guess that it really depends on the individual. Generally speaking , it is supposed to start around the four week mark and stop around twelve weeks but for some unlucky ones - like myself - it doesn't stop until the end of pregnancy. That's not common though. The surge in hormones in early pregnancy (around four weeks when HCG levels are detectable for a pregnancy test) is blamed for the onset of morning sickness but doctors can't really explain why some women get it and others do not.

im same as enigma mine didnt start till i were 12 weeks tho,i thought i had a lucky escape.i also had it morning,noon and night couldnt keep much down and never really had an appetite.
my sister never had it either.

I am currently 7 weeks and i havent experienced any sickness yet. I am hoping I am one of the lucky ones!!

i had it with two of my children from the start of finding out till i was 6mths god i was so glad when it was all over.not everyones the same people dont get it people do

I never had it ~ slight nausea at about 9/10 weeks with each of them but I was never actually sick...brushing my teeth made me want to heave!

My sister in law was less lucky. Sick for the entire pregnancies, literally.

I can testify to that Pippa ! More like morning , noon and night sickness :-(

I seemed to forget this though when I was broody ......... until I was crying like a baby with my head over the pan. Eww.
