Best companies for Laser Correction ?
4 Answers
I am considering having this done. Can someone recommend companies who carry out the procedures. Cost is not an issue for me on this as I'll feel its too important to skimp on this .
I live in Swindon.
If anyone has bad experiences with it , I like to hear as well.

Any way to answer your question.
My friend had it done with the laser correction tem. - Advert says we care you care (something like that) Well anyway, the whole think took about an hour i think. She was a little bit sore afterwards and said that she got a few headaches here and there. After three weeks though they were fine and she was able to wear makeup and see without any aids!
I know it is different from everyone and that a lot of places do it, i would go and see any place first and get the full low down on the procedure as you only have one set of eyes!
Hope you find somewhere and it goes ok!

Hi, slackadder! :o)
My boyfriend's cousin had hers done last year and now has 20/20 vision. Her prescription was high, too. Her mum was so impressed that she had hers done on Friday of last week and my boyfriend and his mum are both going together this Thursday to have theirs done, too. They're going with Ultralase, who are very reputable.
The family spent ages deciding who to go with before deciding on Ultralase. Their after care is brilliant; overly-'protective', which is no bad thing. You have to go back the day after, then a week after, then a month...
They're refreshingly honest, too, saying that not all patients are eligible for the procedure, unlike Optical Express who have also houded my boyfriend with no less than 20 phone calls since he looked into it.
You will get a free consultation where they will test your eyes for suitability. There are a few differing procedures, so they'll also tell you which you're eligible for, as well.
I think they're slightly more expensive than other companies, but, as I say, they're highly recommended.
Here is their FAQ page which should, hopefully, answer any of your questions.
Good luck with it. ws x

Actually I had my eyes done by Optical Express and have had no complaints at all. They also give you the same free consultation, explain the fact it is not for everyone and even give you the exact same level of after care, however it is substantially cheaper than Ultralase. I suppose it depends on the individual branch and more importantly Surgeon. I did a lot of research on the Surgeons before I settled on the woman who did mine, I suggest you do the same as In my book experience is far more important than an artificially inflated price.

I wasn't trying to offend anyone who had gone through Optical Express, :pagan:, I was just pointing out the reasons why my boyfriend hadn't chosen them. Like you, though, he's researched the surgeons, too. The one who is carrying out his procedure, is very good and, it would seem, the best within their company. :o)
Apparently, Ultralase are the only clinic to have a particular state-of-the-art laser, too. They are also the only laser eye treatment providers in the UK to have its treatment outcomes and enhancement rates verified by independent audit.
I think your nearest clinic is in Reading, slackadder. My email address is whiskeysheri @ hotmail.com, if you wanted me to let you know how my boyfriend gets on? :o)
