Don't worry folks I am not back, but hoping somebody can help.

Personally I can not abide Comic Relief or Children in Need etc and to be honest have never donated. However, this evening whilst completely frustrated with the cricket, I tuned in and saw an 11 year old girl who cared for both her disabled parents. This moved me somewhat, and I wonder if anybody knows of a charity that helps these kids as opposed to me giving direct to Comic Relief. Call me heartless, but I refuse to donate a single penny to corruption led African Nations and drug user rehabilitation etc.

However, as I am happy to donate to the above, I can't be all bad.

Thank you in advance.

A worthwhile cause no doubt bedknobs, but not what I am looking for. It is for actual children who look after their parents. Little day trips etc for them to get away from the humdrum of looking after mum and dad when they should be having fun.
I think it's Barnados that runs a young carers ,can't get on to their site though ATM
ditto that wardy and you gotta admit that if there were provided carers in place these kids would have a better life and their parents would not feel so down and guilty
Yes, I worked for Crossroads Caring For Carers and we had children caring for their parents. You should have a local one near you. It is a worthy charity.
good call Wardy

Beryl, I am afraid I can not stay.

Dotty, just make sure you vote Blair out, and the country may be better than what we have at the moment.

Are you not coming back then Joe? :-(
