General or local anesthetic?
5 Answers
I'm due to have an operation in July to repair a tendon sheath in my hand.
Although as with any operation there is a small risk of making the problem worse i've been assured that it is quite a minor operation and can be done with just a local anesthetic.
It really doesn't bother me watching operations or anything gory but I just feel that it may be different when its happening to me! I'm sure I won't be able to see anything but obviously i'm going to be aware of what is happening.
Has anyone had an operation using local anesthetic and if so what was it like?
