I have had a rare form of dermatitis for 2-3 yrs. and only went to a consultant at my local hospital; a few months ago. Aftter being asked to provide a biopsy and being told its probably chronic -I changed my mind on the biopsy and teminated hospital - or any treatment for that matter. Unfortunately I did not pick the name of the condition it is thought to be by the consultant. I am now wondering if any AB members have this and can put a name to it......?
It consists of blotches over most soft parts of my body eg. inside of arms, legs (thighs are worst) waist area and stomach. All have a slight itch and are dry.

Matheous, your best bet is to contact the hospital and ask them if you want to be sure, as all we can do is speculate.

On the speculation front, I did have something that sounds similar althougn not as severe and it was called pityriasis versicolor.

warpig3 -Thanks for the answer....I can't say the name rings any bells....
Matheous, please ring the hospital and I am sure they will tell you what the consultants thoughts were, always better to know. There are so many skin complaints nowadays that you cannot trust any info given by strangers, (even if its is from me).

Give them a call.
