Anyone done Pilates?

My wife is thinking about joining a Pilates club in the village. Can anyone tell us how good/bad it is; is it very strenuous etc. She also has a bit of a tummy (don't we all approaching middle age!) and wonders if it will help get rid of it. Any comments gratefully recieved.

I think its more of a toning exercise and they would advise that the only way to lose a bit of a tummy is to diet and do aerobic exercise. But no its not strenuos and its good for the joints etc as I think its strengthens those without putting excesive strain on them. So in summary I think if its weight loss your after try someting else, if its to tone up then pilates is the one to go for.
