Affair
4 Answers
My best mate was told yesterday that her husband has been having an affair. He denies it, but the husband of the "other woman" has left her and taken the kids with her - and her mother even apologised to my friend about it all. No smoke without fire and all that !
Not really got a question, but any advice on how to help my friend through this would be gratefully received. She knows she can move in to my spare room etcetc, but how do I comfort her?

Try to get her to concentrate on only what is best for her.
Do not agree with/ or encourage her to slag ex ... they have a nasty habit of returning, and it is hard to support her in that instance, if you declare now you always though her is/was a ******************* ( fill in own derogatory terminlogy ).
Some men would deny, deny, deny even if she caught them on the job herself! Let her do what she needs to, even if seems a bit irrational to you.

Thanks for the answers. Unfortunately it appears already that I care more than she does - she's listened to his denial and promises to stick by her side and not go out without her anymore and guess what .... she's listened.
I'll probably be back on here in a couple of months time though - posting the same question.
Thanks again xxx
