Should I get dreadlocks or do they completely ruin your hair?

yes they do completely ruin your hair, but are you bothered? try doing one yourself in an area of your hair you can cut off if you dont like it. a good old back comb and some bees wax!

If you want proper dreadlocks then yes, but to get rid of them you need to shave them off so will be starting from scratch anyway so doesn't really make any odds in that respect.

If you mean corn rows, they too damage your hair, but depending on your hair type and what you do to control it already it might not make too much difference but they do need lots of maintenance.

You could always buy some wool falls, loads of places sell them and you can just attach them to your own hair and people will think you have dreadlocks, but then you can take them out and still be able to wash your hair, which is great cos when you have dreds in washing your hair is nigh on impossible

all i am going to say is that they really SMELL, my friend had them done and she lost soooo many boyfriend as her hair smelt so bad.

I've had dread locks twice in my life... They do of course completely ruin your hair, but just shave it off and you can start again! Its only hair after all!
Dreads are cool tho...its more of a convenience hair do... A lot of maintaining to start with, but once they're fully finished... NO BAD HAIR DAYS! YAY!!
