just millions of midges which bite you to death on summer evenings out by the lochs!!!

There are mosquitoes in Scotland.

They migrate from West Africa every year in their millions.

Once here, they get married in Gretna, before flying home to mate and rear young.

If you're lucky, you can see clumps of them, on honeymoon at motorway services, feeding on tourists before continuing their journey.
