Third marriages, do they work?
17 Answers
I've been married twice, and am now hoping to get married for a third time!
I've heard;
1st time for curiosity
2nd time for variety
3rd time for life
Can anyone endorse this before I commit myself to 'life'?

Personally I've found that marriage isn't what the fairy story books told us but if you work on it it's great to share that partnership and go through life knowing you can depend on the other; but you have to adapt!
I do hope you can find that comfy feeling on finding the right one...

Third time for me so I can answer honestly:-
1st time - felt to be a blt left on the shelf and wanted children
2nd time - bored of first hubby after 8 dull years where he didn't appreciate me so left him when I fell for another - a whirlwind romance but after four years I found out what the real him was like and it frightened me so I got out
3rd time - met the love of my life, who adored my kids and me and 13 years on we are middle-aged but like a couple of teenagers - its wonderful !!
There is always a Mr. Right waiting around the corner - don't be put off by a few Mr. Wrongs.
Good Luck Miss Random

Dollie, where did you come from?
You are a breath of 'fresh air'!
I posted this question 'tongue in cheek' to another ABer, just for fun.
However, I really have been married twice (first time at 19 yrs, second at 24yrs). I have never really given up hope that there is 'my other half' so would hope to marry again - forever!
Your answer has really cheered me up, thank you.

Hello Miss Random, Only just come on puter as I have been very busy. I am on my third marriage First one I was only 19 and it lasted 15 years, he was a compulsive gambler, but had two lovely kids with him, got divorced. Second one, lovely but he died, very sad. I always thought I would never marry again, then I met my third and have never been happier. I would go with your heart, but only do it if you feel sure.

How long have you been with your present/current/3rd (none of these sound right) (soul-mate!) husband?
What age were you when you met him? And how long had you known him before you decided to get married?
Please forgive me for being so nosey.
Thank you for your lovely answer.

My life has never been black and white. I knew my third husband at a distance for about 3 years, I was his current wifes boss. I was married to my second and he ( My prospective third) was going through a bad patch as his wife was having an affair, and my husband was seriously ill. It is complicated but to cut a long story short I was now a widow and he was a single parent with two daughters (his wife had run off with someone) we met by chance in ASDA and all I wanted was someone to go to the pub with now and again (he wanted the same) anyway we fell in love and married, problems along the way as we both had baggage, bit we have been married now 11yrs, kids have flown the nest etc. I do not regret one minute. Good luck Miss Random, only you know how you feel.xxx
I have been married 4 times, started very young, but no 4 [who had never been married before] is the one I had been looking for, we have been together for 26 years and have been married for 20 yrs.My family were taking bets at the reception on how long it would last !
