The 60s were just amazing, not only for rock, but folk and other genres as well! I was a teenager in the 60s, living in Germany but at one point attending an American high school. So I got the best of 60 European music, which was the British of course, with the Beatles, the Stones etc. and the best of the American 60s music, especially folk music with Joan Baez etc. as well. A fabulous time!!! There has been a lot of great music in every decade though. I fell in love with heavy metal at one stage when people like Yngvie Malmsteen and Marilion appeared on the scene and I love today's music too! But certainly the 60s were very special!
Does anyone out there remember Eamonn Andrews singing "The Shifting Whispering Sand" b/w The Cockershell Heroes" I used to love that.
