Do you think we should offer smokers euthenasia to save the country money and cut down on polloution?Is it just me but dont you find most junkies , thiefs ,chavs,neds,pikeys,gang members and muggers all smoke?Even if its only cannabis.If we got rid of smokers would it cut down on muggings etc?As smoking cannabis is seen as a stepping stone to harder drugs , if we banned smoking and humanely carried out euthenasia on people who smoked , wouldnt we also cut down drug abuse, crime and the causes of crime?Or do you find this to be an extreme measure,even though it would work.

I'd just like to say that I smoke but I am not like anyone in your list, I'm working class, middle-aged, quite intelligent and I have never mugged anyone. Many different types of people smoke cigarettes and dope that don't fall into those catagories you listed.
Smoking dope doesn't automatically lead to hard drugs. people use cannabis as pain relief so how is that any different to being addicted to prescribed drugs?
I think pollution levels are high because of many other reasons as well as smoking such as factories, the number of cars on the road (do you drive?)etc
Your ideas wouldn't work because where would you end the discrimination, because that is what you are doing - discriminating against smokers.
I realise that you wanted a reaction to your question but I think it's all rather pathetic not to mention a tad fascist!

Smoking a drug to brainwash the masses.Put up the prices and peole will still pay.You could have an army of ciggie junkies doing your bidding just to get their next fix.Discrimination?If stopping the bad health effects caused by the minority,yes key word there,the minority.If stopping the side effects caused by the minorities habit on the majority could be seen as discrimination id be surprised.Keep your smoke dont exale at all, we non smokers dont want it or need it .Save your im so hard doneby speeches.Youre killing yourself thats ok , but by imposing your evil filthy habit on others youre killing them.Discrimination ??No.Protection of the majority?Yes.
