Missed Period (not pregnant!) is it Amenorrhea?
6 Answers
It's been two months since my last period, and I do not know what to do. I know that there is no possible way that I could be pregnant because I'm not sexually active. I also know that it is not menopause because I am still a teenager. I've looked up many websites to see if they could help me figure out what is wrong, and the only thing I could come up with is "Amenorrhea", but I do not know if this is true because according to the articles you have to have missed your period for over 6 months. If that is the case, I would like to ask a question. How and when will my period return to normal?

by the way, amenorrhea is just a long word to say 'missed period', it's not a disease in itself.

As you are only a teenager this is very common. Periods often get all messed up because your hormones are all over the place. I missed mine for 4 months once. They settle down by the time you hit 21! Until then I wouldn't worry at all. They can stop at the slightest little thing like diet change, tiredness, stress, sudden excersise. But as you are in the age bracket where they are most likely to be irregular then I really don't think you have anything to worry about. Go to the doctors if you want to put your mind at ease but I am sure it's fine.
Mine have only just settled down and I am 22.
