Just wondering what the general consensus on this was?

on one hand, i can see the logic and why some want it, but will it stick?
i have no doubt that in 30-40 years they will be commonplace and ''the norm'', but is it just focussing on issues that are trivial compared to other related things, or is it a great step towards true equality.

i know there is chairperson, and this is already used often, but how far will it go - linesperson, personhole cover, postman, fireman, etc etc....?
do we go one further with stuff like MANager, HIStory, MENstruate etc

Kind of like the old schoolkid joke: 'Why do we say Amen, not Awomen?' 'Because we sing hymns, not hers'!
Headteacher is the one that bugs me - it sounds so childish, like a 'my dad's bigger'n your dad' schoolyard threat!

Quite frankly pc language is just a scratch on the surface. Never mind the language, let's have some proper equality!
