Having recently been diagnosed as having type 2 Diabetes using only diet & exercise as a control measure, do I need to inform Insurance companies that I have the condition?
According to Diabetes UK the DVLA only needs to be informed for Insulin dependant Type 1 Diabetes patients or Type 2 patients with a complication such as eye sight problems.

think you've pretty much answered your own question there! Do you have any complications? Remember to have your eyes checked regularly.

No complications, decided to inform them anyway. Car & M/C insurers fine, Travel insurers referred me to a 3rd party agency. Yet to hear a decision.
