I have what i can only describe as looking like a 'blood blister' on one of my tonsils!! I have had a sore throat for weeks now which the doctor did prescribe antibiotics for it but it never really helped and i havent gone back as hate going!! Any ideas what it is ?have looked on google andcant see anything!! i also feel that when i swallow there is something like a hair in my throat!!! Strange i know!!!

Mr P had tonsilitis once and didn't go back for more antibiotics. He ended up with a quinsy, which can be very serious.

Hi numnut1 , do go back to your GP if you can as it may be you need a different type of antibiotic . Did you have a swab taken , if not they may do this so they can give you the correct one. :-) All the best .

Sorry numnut1, I should've said that I hope you get this sorted pdq and are soon recovering. Like bigmamma said, you perhaps need a different antibiotic. You really must go back to the Doc as this is not going to go away by itself and will only get worse if you don't do something about it.

My main concern is that they get to the GP pdq..nobody else can help, really :o(
