What are your views on marijuana usage? Do you find it acceptable? Do you use it yourself?
What do you think of it compared to alcohol and its associated problems? What about punishments for use and possession, and effects on our kids?

Tried it 30 years ago, relatively unimpressed as I recall.
Funny thing is when you watch documentaries on far away primitive, and shall we say innocent, tribes living in the upper reached of the amazon, they all know which tree or shrub or insect to boil down for a gooood smoke or a greaat booze.
Seems like human nature to me to get a buzz.

I smoke weed regularly. I think it is acceptable and cause far less problems than drinking alcohol. I have been searched many times and every time had about an eighth on me, each time I have been let off and free to take my weed with me, which has always made me wonder what I have actually been searched for.
Octavius we make a taunton turnip here and often make it when we play the Withnail and I drinking game.

I smoke it occasionally. I enjoy it. I've tried other substances and I don't think that it was a slippery slope. I have never stolen anything of any value and I haven't been in a fight caused by drugs or alcohol that I wasn't trying to break up. I think you have no right to demonise me and millions like me worldwide who use drugs recreationally and minimalistically on account of a few bad apples who use heroin addiction, which as far as I'm concerned is difficult to become addicted to unless you try to, as a scape goat for being thieves. In my opinion it's a mindset that they use to avoid guilt and other complex issues that they have grown up with (what society has given them if you like to think of it like that), most use heroin as a form of escapism, others use it for creativity (Byron, RL Stevenson, countless others) and some use it sacredly in religious ceremony. I think it's completely perverse and wrong to label people without knowing the facts first. Oh and here's an interesting aside for you, banks, multinationals and Imperialist countries like our own did more thieving, drug trafficing and murdering than you could ever imagine. The brits took heroin to china and stole countless millions of people, minerals, and wealth from many a poor country long before I had my first spliff. To all the lovers peace; to the haters, peace off!
Mate, they're exactly the same! It's the law that's reclassified them. I quite like a bevvy and I enjoy a smoke, both are substances which alter mood and perception and just because one is illegal doesn't mean that people that have tried them can't be a better authority on them than somebody who hasn't.
