Is it right to allow cheaper charges for pensioners, afterall they have had longer to save up.

lol
well yes they dont get as much income, but I do get annoyed with these stories in paper about pensioners being sent to jail and what an uproar its caused. Tough council tax should be paid, they didnt pay, they deserve to be in prison. Laws the law
and half the time they have the money, they just make a big fuss for nothing.

I agree 4get, and i'm a pensioner, well nearly.
And whilst on the subject why do the old bu66ers go to the post office at the busiest times.
I think they deserve things to be a bit cheaper. If we didn't let the oldies have things cheaper then us students wouldn't be allowed either.

Was in a queue the other day and a group of oldies pushed in, I was however comforted by the thought that they would soon be dead. How awful was that.
Thats pretty awful, but i'll admit to having the same thoughts on saturday lunchtimes when i go to tesco with my nan. I dont have the thoughts about her, just the b@stards that wont get out of her way cos they older than her so have the right to stop in front of her trolly then tut n bi_tch when she crashes into them. It can be quite funny, my nans not your usual old lady
I've been stood behind some of those oldies at the post office queue, and i've gotta say their pensions put my wages to shame!
coz its them that makes it the bussiest times. usually pension day they all race up there on a Thursday morning :-)
and misty I there are a few people that dont acknowledge that you've moved your trolley for them, old or young, I tend to shout Thankyouuuuu really loud at them. Another time I came up behind this old guy and said excuse me, he didnt move so I said again 'excuse me' again he didnt move so a little bit louder I said 'excuse me' after a while of trying I squeezed past and the man had fallen asleep standing up, bless him, he soon woke up when his wife came back :-)
That would explain why they ignore you all the time, maybe i should stop ramming into the back of them then and just gently shake them to see if they still awake. It might stop me almost getting attacked by grannies lol.
I think a lot of pensioners especially ones that dont have a company pension struggle to pay bills, a discount here and there probably means a lot so what is wrong with it,

a bit of fun, you have to love em dont ya.
or carry an alarmk clock :-)
do you spocky?

Can't say i share that sentiment! The one's ive come across have been the most crotchety, cantankerous, rude and downright bloody stubborn generation we have.

have you noticed that when an oldie is at the counter buying incontinence pads or whatever and the assistant says , that will be 3,50, the oldie looks completely befuddeled , dives into large bag looking for cash as if its a surprise that they have too pay.
I never want to get old now incase i have a heart attack when someone wakes me up from my afternoon nap in tesco with a bloomin alarm clock.

I work in a pub and we have a couple of old people who come in and always order the same drink, but when i ask for the money they do the same thing but cant believe it costs that much, even though they brought it yesterday and the price hasn't changed.
I went to a 'do' once where the theme was 1940s all the bar prices were one penny (had to be 1 pence tho) well what most people did was give about 20p or 50p for a drink and didnt want any change. There was this old fella in front of me and he ordered 2 halves of beer, he then spent the next few minutes rooting in his pockets until he found the exact money....2p. Then I noticed that this said man and his wife sat with same drinks all night. He must have been in pensioners heaven.
I do however love all the old people that say Good afternoon to me even though they dont know me on my walks around town. :-)
we will all be old one day .some on here sooner rather than later .
Yeah i think we being a bit mean cos for every mean oldie who pushes in front in line at the post office or falls asleep in tesco there is a really sweet one who smiles a gummy smile at you and pushes a little trolly around town.
