sometimes just sometimes after making love to my wife of ten years, i get a burning sensation in my penis, its worse when i urinate. and always seems to be when i'v had a couple of cans of lager but not all the time, it comes & goes as it pleases about once a month if that, the only relief is if i sit on the toilet for long periods of time, anyone else suffer the same symptons or know what it could be, or how to stop it can men get cystitus, i'd go to my gp but i dont feel comfortable, please no sarcastic replys please. it is a serious posting. thanx
you have got to go and get yourself checked out..gp/clinic/urologydept etc....
a guess might be uti (urinary tract infection) something nonspecific, get your prostate test done if you are over 45....again go and get yerself checked owt
You may have a simple urinary infection, and you may have picked this up from your wife. You should both go to your GP - it's extremely common and nothing to be embarased about, your GP will have seen and treated this condition many times. If you are really not comfortable with your own GP, you could ask to see someone else at the practice, or consider changing to another doctor. Which ever you do, go now, it's not worh suffering for.
Definitely on a serious note, not a sarcastic tone, men do get cystitis, but you could have something worse that you could be passing on to your partner or something from which you could drop dead. How dare you not get it checked (unless you have a huge insurance policy). Tell us what your wife's advice is about this!
I got the exact same thing and got myself checked with many different test. I have Prostitus (not sure of the spelling) and I'm only 29! Sounds exactly the same so pop to your doctors and mention to him about "Prostitus" and he will do the tests. Initially, they thought it was Cystitus with me too but turned out to be the other. Hope this helps and good luck. NB: Prostitus is nothing to worry about ;o)
You definitely have to get this checked out ... if you are uncomfortable about going to your GP then you could go to the "Clinic" at the hospital - can't remember exact name - genito-urinary or some such...? i am sure you can find out. The benefit is that they often have "Men only" days so may save your blushes. Plus if it something which only effects YOU (altho; I really doubt it) then no need to tell your wife.
thanx to all who posted an answer, I was wondering if anyone else suffered something similar, like i said it is only once a month if that i get the symptons which is why it never bothered me in the past, once again thank you to everyone who posted an answer. I shall get it checked out as soon as.
