Question for the ladies re men in uniform

A femail friend was interested in my career in the Army, so I was showing her some photo's I've had over the years, including some taken just days before I left, she remarked that she thought I looked good in uniform and if I was still in the Army, she would definatly "do" me. I explained that I've only been out for 3 years, and still look pretty much the same as I did when I left so how about it?. She said it was the thought of a man in uniforn that did it for her.
I have 2 questions.
1) Are all ladies like this? (shallow)
2) What is it about the uniform? I mean, take the uniform off and it's the same bloke underneath

My son is in the airforce and everytime I go to his base I can't keep my eyes to myself !!! All those men in uniform , and at my age eh ?......tut ut ....

My ex boyfriend was a policeman and whilst I fancied him like mad in or out of his uniform, he couldn't see it. Said he felt more comfortable and sexy in normal clothes.

He did let on that he liked seeing me in my suit though - which I guess is my uniform.

I think the answers to this serious question are a bit too serious. Yes most friends of mine think men in uniform look wow as long as he appears to look fittish underneath. My friends and I (happily married and in our fifties - does this mean anything?)have always enjoyed seeing military, cops, firemen, even mucky building workers in hard hat and hi vis. Dont think we ever thought deeper about it and we are not shallow thank you, just enjoying a brief bit of pleasure. Obviously the guy is the same in or out of uniform. Are men shallow if they are turned on by women wearing outfits that you only see in certain shop windows or mags? At least our uniform pleasures are innocent and we get to see them in broad daylight.
