eye make up :)

i'm a first year jewellery design student, we have been given a brief to do with jewellery for the eyes. i' m a bit stumped, but decided to research eye make up....especially the more....bizarre? :) so anyone with any pictures or suggestions would be great :)

I guess you could look at makeup on the catwalk. What about jewellery for glasses or even fancy false eyelashes.

thats ok! had another thought - contact lenses. You can get some really weird ones these days!

yeah you can...but in all the fun of falsies i forgot......this item has to be made out of precious METAL.... :( mind you it said we could incorporate other materials....so sci fi metal eyelashes it is! :D

I believe that the ancient egyptians had fairly radical ideas about eye wear, you could also consider venetian and italian masques and the language of the masked ball

As gold is quite soft and will curve easily how about a narrow strip of gold that would be self adhesive on one side that could be stuck to the top of the eye just above the eyelashes. You could then perhaps via a tiny hole at the end furthest away from the nose from which you could dangle a delicate little drop ear-ring type so it could dangle at the side of your eye when open. Just a thought.
