It sounds dangerous or life threatening. There's the 'Morning After' pill but that is not a method of contraception either. There are 12 methods of contraception & abstention is one of them.

It's a type of abortion which is done on women who are under 9 weeks pregnant. It involves taking two substances - the first is RU486 which interferes with the release of hormones and prevents the development of the foetus. Two days later, women are given misoprostol, as a pessary. Cramping and bleeding follows after about five hours. Some clinics allow women the choice of staying in the the clinic or going home to miscarry in their own homes.
