Street Fighter II

I just downloaded the SNES Street Fighter II to my Wii cos i used to LOVE this game when i was younger... thing is, i remember there used to be a cheat that involved pressing all sorts of joypad buttons in a sequence whilst the title menu was up, and it unlocked the characters so 2 people could play as the same character, and a few other things.
Can anyone out there remember how to do this?
