Video Camera Drivers - Panasonic Mx 500 - Windows XP
2 Answers
I'll be amazed if anyone can answer or advice me on this, but searched everywhere else for 4 hours now.
I've had the above camera maybe 5 years or more. Wanting to video edit again, now on windows XP but on inserting the disk with drivers I get the following message:
"Panasonic DVC USB Serial driver has not passed windows verifing logo testing for compatibility with XP. "
Then goes on to say I could seriously harm the pc now or in the near future if I continue to install this driver.
On checking the panasonic update (2005) it says only install if your pc has 'Hyper Threading Function' and it's turned on. I don't think mine has this, I can't find it. Anyway is it ok to install even with the warning above or should I really investige further before putting my pc at risk.
