Dad , no longer here but still in my heart .
why was she your heroine
when i was 17 i lost control of my car in a very snow covered road. being young i only had a t shirt on and i was 24 miles from home. a lorry pulled up and out of the goodness of his heart he did a massive detour and took me home!!

i know its not exactly a bruce willis type hero nor is he a loving member of my family but all the same i still remember him and i was fortunate enough to thank him almost 20 yrs later when i recognised the name of the company he works for on a truck and went over and introduced myself again!
pixiepie because she made a difference to alot of people of my generation.
John Wayne was my all time hero Dot,they don't make em like him anymore. Glad to see you back on again :-) Diana was well honoured today, I think.
yes linda, John wayne as i know was a huge favourite of my dad's and so meant alot to me too, but Diana was a woman the same age as me and she did so much.

i never thought i would see the day!! ha ha ha
yes i did, claire was still in a buggy about 6 months old and charles and Diana came to Skelmersdale to open a health centre.
she cant have been old then did you get to shake hands
Blimey rugeleyboy I had the same kind of experience. I was driving home from a friends at 1am over a moorland road and a sheep ran out and because I swerved to avoid it I lost control and went 50ft down a revine. How I got out alive is still a mystery but I dragged myself up to the road and waved down a passing car, bearing in mind that this was a very lonely road, the car stopped and out stepped a man who was a doctor, he helped me home and advised me to go to A & E, my injuries we not serious. At the time that this happened the Yorkshire Ripper was on the loose and I always think back, my time was not up and this knight in shining armour appeared....a chance in a million.
She was mine too Dot, her and Monroe!
heros would be my Dad and John Lennon!
Capt Graham Hunter
