I have not read alot/any (ie none) celebrity autobiogs's. I can't really remember anything other than jumping through the water sprinkler when I was 10 - so how do these "celebs" remember stuff when they were like 3 plus...
I can remember lots of things from the time when I was around three.
My earliest memory, I was younger, though, my guess would be 2 or just under.
Not being able to remember anything from before 10 sounds weird.
I remember loads of stuff from when I was 2; breaking my leg trying to climb up my slide in wet wellies, feeding the horse in next doors field polomints, going for walks down to the reservoire behind the house, getting a spit from the fire in my eye, bouncing up and down on the baby bouncer, the cat bringing home a dead mouse, going to visit my brother when he was born, lots of stuff!
I think some memories are jogged through your childhood by parents etc refering to them often, and repeatedly showing photographs, this way the memory stays with you. I can't remember much before I was ten. Only very impactful events.
reading these posts has made me realise that I do remember other stuff, but I can't be accurate date wise and don't think that I could write a book that was "real" . How do famous people, who aren't famous as children, remember so much detail...? That was my original thought.
I think if you're brought up in the same place nearly all your life, some times you remember detail cause surrounding don't change? May be the parents wanted them to be famous so recorded events etc well. i don't believe it's all actual original memories. So don't worry if you can't remember, I don't remember that much.
