Different from what you thought!

Last night I was out on the town and I bumped into a guy I went to school with. He grabbed my hand and kissed it and said he couldn't believe I remembered his name. We got talking and he said I never used to chat to him at school and I was a bit stuck up because I was popular! He said that me and another girl were the two girls all the guys liked! Then when we were chatting I mentioned where he lived and he said "Oh my god, I can't believe *insert my name here* knows where I live"!

Now this convo really shocked me... coz the way I saw it was I never chatted to him because I didn't know him, or have any classes with him. He was in the other half of the year which meant I didn't have any classes with him at all in the whole 5 yrs at that school so I never had the chance to get to chat to him properly. I thought he was popular too but in a different circle of friends and I didn't even know he knew my name! Plus he was a typical boy, who would muck about and make fun of the girls! I did know a couple of the guys he hung about with.. one I fancied.. one I kissed at a party.. but that was it! Anyway... he asked for my number last night too and he said he would contact me! Lol.

I have to ask... Has anyone ever had this before? Run into someone and realise they had a TOTALLY different impression of you from what you thought?

Thats nice Bigmamma. I remember my ex's mum saw someone from school once and the girl said she remembered her as the only person who never bullied her and she was always nice to her! That was sweet.... sad but sweet.
