I have been told to take acidophilus while taking antobiotics to minimise the chances of getting thrush as a reult of taking the antibiotics. Does anyone know how much acidophilus i should take (ie one every time i take a antibiotic/and what strength), or will the anibiotic become ineffective?? thanks x

I would take it during your antibiotic course. The antibiotics will destroy your natural occuring microflora which can protect you against things like thrush. Restoring the acidiophilus (acid liking) bacteria is a natural way of restoring the balance.
at the risk of sounding like an advert, I drink one of those little yoghurts every day and it has revolutionised my unreliable digestion!!
