Bra's for the fuller bust
17 Answers
my local Contessa has been changed to La Senza. How disappointing. La Senza only do preformed bra's that only seem to fit those with a smaller bust. They don't stock any brand names such as Triumph, Ballet, Playtex etc.
Does anyone else have problems finding bra's and getting them to fit nicely. I hate shopping for them not only are they too expensive but finding the perfect fitting one is a nightmare. I don't think I am that abnormal as a 34DD or am I.
I would love to know how others find shopping for bra's.

Debehams do sell them, as does the Triumph shop at Cheshire Oaks outlet village (if you're in the North West), or, my favourite stand by - Freemans catalogue. As I know my triumph size (never seems to work with other makes) I quite often just order new bras from them.
Hi pink La Senza do do your size. I was in there at the weekend and although they dont stock the makes you say, i still find their bras a great fit.
However, when measured in La Senza I was told to buy a 38 F as their bras come up small, where as I am normally about a DD-E.
Get urself measured in there and they will help you as im sure they do your size.

My local contessa (Derby)changed to La Senza too and I also a 34DD so same problem, fortunately Contessa had a big sale just before shutting and i bought a whole load of new undies to keep me going for a while. Have tou tried Marks and Spencers - they have some decent bras for our size and some f the Next ones are ok too

La Senza do do 34DD bra's but they are these fashion bras and for me anyway I don't find that they are a proper full cup and just don't give me a proper shape. I think they are just fashion bra's and I don't feel they give the proper support and as they only do these preformed bras they make me look bulkier which I don't want.
Maybe I am just old fashioned I still consider myself to be a young 38 year old but I feel more comfortable in a non preformed bra such a the Triumph amourette styles.

Hiya, I used to wear a 38D, until my friend got me a Bravissimo fitting and voucher for my 21st, and I discovered I am actually a 32G! Although quite expensive (upwards of 25 for bra), I still think it's worth paying that for something that fits well and alters my whole shape! Bravissimo don't use a tape measure, they just let you try things on to see what shape fits you best. I was advised to get measured every time I go for a new bra, and also to try on as different brands are entirely different in size and fit.
I do find bra shopping a total chore, and expensive (probably why I was in denial about my size for so long!) but it is worth going a couple of times a year, just so you look great and feel comfy in your underoos.
Apparently the department stores stock good brand name bras-Debenhams do Freya, a make which I have found to be good quality and reasonably priced as far as bigger sizes go.
Good luck pink :) x

Hi.
I too have larger boobs- 36GG to be precise and i'm only 23!! I used to have the same problems finding good fitting bras but you should try Bravissimo.
They START from a D cup and i've been using them for years now. a little expensive like you say but no more than the other shops in my size! They fit beautifully (especially the "Panache" range for me personally) and if you do like to be fitted, the ladies are lovely. I even once had the entire shop in nottingham to myself so she was like my own personal shopper!!
Look at www.bravissimo.co.uk. Hope this helps, I haven't shopped anywhere else since!

I have 36 G size and have large dents in my shoulders. I need to find a bra that doesn't look like a bullet proof vest and disperses the weight across my shoulders for better comfort. (Yes I actually prefer the wider straps) Thanks from Heaton21 for the links to webistes. I requested a catalog from bravissimo.com. I think even larger busted women should be able to look and feel sexy. It is much more expensive for larger busted women to buy bras, but that's the market.

I have found the Fayreform bras to be a godsend. You can get these for a bargain if you buy them from OZ or NZ, try http://www.bras.co.nz (they have a conversion chart to find out your size)
