I have mid length hair, which I straighten a lot. It is naturally curly but I'd love to wear it wavy, like it is popular with lots of the celebs. I can get it wavy by using curling tongs, but I want an easy way of doing it, any ideas?
I did once read something about using rags or something, anybody know anything about this?

Wash it, french plait it and go to bed!

In the morning undo the plait and rub a bit of texturising cream or wax in to define the curls!

See, that works brilliantly... minus the fact I can't french plait!! :( x
My sister-in-law just had a great treatment for her curly hair. It was done in a salon and is called "FRIZZ CURE". It is sort of a reverse perm. It works to different degrees depending how long you leave it in. She maintained a lovely wave, but is also able to blow it straight without much fuss,. Her sister left it on the maximum time for a very straight look. I'm in the states, I don't know how widely available it is yet.

Good Luck
do it in lots of small plaits instead then!
My hair is also curlyish, full of kinks, takes me ages to get it straight. Sometimes I can get away with just rough drying for a couple of minutes, then using a curl mousse, scrunching it and leave it to dry naturally. Have you tried this? If your hair is all one length, you may need to have some long layers cut into it, but it will still go straight if you you want without looking layered.
