Does anyone know what the Bowen technique is please?

its allied to accupressure. Light pressure on specific parts of the body is said to clear blocked energy flows and thuys relieve spasm pain , especially that caused by stress

My friend is currently training to be a practitioner of Bowen. It is apparently quite a difficult technique to learn requiring a lot of theory since it is based heavily on anatomy (learning the exact locations of lymph nodes, used to stimulate the drainage of toxins, nerve pathways, and muscles and bone junctions etc). This is all supplemented with lots and lots of case studies. Essentially you are stimulating the body to cure itself. She is already seeing a lot of interest in the technique which seems to highly regarded among those who have experienced it.
