Heroin ? of course it could be they are trying to wean themselves off of the methadone, but this not something that can happen overnight, so go and talk to them please.Ray
he does take it supervised monday-fri but allowed to take sat and sun at home, this was saturdays,,he has just recently got a job and seems to be very hyper at the moment! going from someone with no confidence to gushing with it... in fact he had a date saturday for the first time, so perhaps he needed something else ! tried talking to him but he just screams and puts up the defence thing! also you cant believe anything he says because he lies constantly...Any advice is v much appreciated thanks for your responses to date.
tilly you and other members of damily are going to have to tread very carefully, only he can decide if he seriously wants to come off of drugs, doesn't matter what you say or do, if he wants to carry on doing it he will, so all i would say is be there to help when he needs it, and he will at some point, hope it goes well for him and wish you good luck if and when he decides to talk, it could help him such a lot, Ray,
Thanks for all your input everybody...all well athe moment went to work again today taking day by day is the only way forward I think at the moment.....its just the heartache that he causes and he doesnt seem to realise what he is doing to the rest of the family-when he is around we are just wealking on egg shells all the time it is such a relief if he goes out...I know this is not good but does anybody else have any experience on this type of thing and I am living a false hope that things will improve in the future or should we encourage him to live on his own just so that we can have some qualilty of life!!
