When my mum had me and my brother the midwife staff and nurses reckoned that redhead women loads more blood when giving birth. Is this true?

apperntly redheads have finer skin that tears more easily, but i cant imagine it makes a noticeable difference in something as messy as childbirth, not a decisive answer, sorry.
scuse spelling mistake :-)
I believe it has been proven that redheads also have a much lower pain threshold. Not really the best of news for any expectant redheaded mothers Iam afraid.

it,s the opposite redheads have an extreme pain threshhold i had a surgean tells me that they are told this in medical school.
When I was born, my parents were told I'd 'be a bleeder', when I had my tonsils removed at age 5, the surgeon stupidly told my mom one of the risks was that I could bleed to death, due to my hair colouring. When I was at college, during a lecture from a midwife, I was told I'd never be allowed a home birth. Whenever I cut myself, it takes a long time for my blood to clot (I have no problems with my blood in terms of clotting, Hb, or platelets). And when I give blood I can be off the couch in 10 mins, including a rest!!!
