Where is the wheel brace on a suzuki grand vitara kept?

Using a mates 1996 Suzuki Grand Vitara whilst hes on holiday and found the front tyre flat as a pancake this morning. Bit of detective work found the spare fastened to the back door, the jack under the driving seat & its handle under the passenger seat. Can't find a wheel brace though and my own won't fit. Maybe its missing but if I can find out where it normally lives then I can confirm that. Thanks
