i have been bitten on the upper arm in the last 20 mins or so, not sure by what but it is swelling up and going bright red!!!!!!!! Never felt a thing but it is really stinging now, it feels red hot to the touch too! All the way to bloody Turkey and not one bite, sit in yoru own kitchen and the swines get me!!!!!! Shall i take a piriton and put some savlon on it? I haven't had a drink thank goodness.

I had a similar bite on my face.
I just put some bite stuff on it and it reduce the swelling.
BLOODY HELL IT HURTS THOUGH!!!

Narr, you're just coming out in sympathy with me. If i'm reduced to tapping away on the keyboard with one hand, i don't see why everyone else shouldn't be.

Try vinegar or an onion (cut one in half and rub on swelling vigorously) in the event that you don't have any anti-allergen stuff around. That's what my grandmother always used ... and on wasp stings too that can be especially fearsome!

Yes B00, on friday.
I was trying to unjam the sunroof, put my hand through and it comes shooting out and crushes the bone of my wrist.
I'm having some surgery on wednesday to have the bone reconstructed. I should then be OK.

I think this might be a horsefly bite, the dog was chasing something around the kitchen before snapping and i just thought it was a fly.
it is now red and has gone quite solid around the bite, bloody hell, last time i had a bite lke this my arm swelled up like popeye lol

thanks for that link DrRed, it describes exactly the site, it is seeping a clear liquid and my arm is now swollen and the area around the bite is going hard and itchy. i have taken a piriton and I have found the bite and sting relief roll on stick i bought for the hols, it is witch hazel and aloe vera and is very cooling.

omg that will hurt like hell for ages. Last year I looked like I had a touch of the 'merricks' when I got a bite on the ankle, stuff down some ibuprofen before bed, or the second heartbeat effect might send you insane!

Evening Dot , gosh you all seem to be in the wars , you poor things . A nasty bite that is Dot , and bet it hurts , hopefully some topical cream and some systemic antihistamine , like your Piriton , will give you some ease .
Sorry to read about BOO and crossroads wrists , ouch !!!
