Should I be worried?

I had a bit of a drinking session on Saturday and ended up being really ill yesterday. I was sick several times but felt better by early evening so managed about 4 mouthfus of a jacket potato. Unfortunately that came back up about an hour later and there was blood in the vomit. Probabaly not much as it always looks worse than it is but I would say about a tablespoon full. I was getting a few tummy pains last night and a few today. Do you reckon I may have un ulcer? I am a bit of a drinker (usually have a bottle of wine with my meal most nights).

I put my back out last month and was living off alot of painkillers and they irritate your stomach don't they? And I love spicy food so I won't be happy about staying away from my beloved jalapenos.
Cossroads, is that really true? I never the touch the stuff anyway but I remembering hearing that in the playground 20 years ago and thought it was nonsense actually.

ulcer blood is normally dark isnt it? I didnt think it was often red.
If you were sick several times the night previously I would have thought it was more likely that you had a tear of irritation from doing this in your throat or esophagus (sp) and that caused the blood. Dont google blood in vomit whtever you do, you'll be dying of something before you see the doctor.

I was taking 400mg of ibuprofen and 30mg of codeine every 4 hours. (I was in an awful lot of pain). Will they go away of their own accord? Its such a hassle seeing my doctor, you have to make an appointment in the morning for that day so I would have to stay home fro mwork with no guarntee of actually getting an appointment. Bl00dy government targets!
