As for people seeing ghosts I don't believe anybody has seen a ghost, I think it is all a trick of the brain, illusion call it that you like!!
And for all those really convincing stories we all hear about, sorry I cant believe them!!

There is no life after death. If you think that a pulsating bleep after brain death is a life, then you aint living much now are you. If you mean the bits and bobs before being brain dead, then I imagine it is the laws of nature shutting down and turning off the main power switch of all main organs one by one. As for out of body experiences, havent most of these been achieved for centuries, if not millennia by chemical hallucinogenic means in natural or manufactured form?
Neither do opinions according to you.
I was merely offering you the opportunity to expound your knowledge and opinions to Answerbank for a change, rather than the usual caustic comments which give you the appearance of being an inane bitter spiteful misery.
But if you want to leave me with that opinion of you, then that is fine. Nighty night.

octavius i like you! i always find it funny when an athiest says they dont believe in life after death and someone says "huh keep you opinions to yourself" but they'll quite happily harp on about theirs! just cause your opinion makes more sense and is more probable religious people seem to take offence just because your opinion differs??? are athiests not allowed to have their opinions and express them?
Here's a little exercise. Shut your eyes in a very quiet place and imagine yourself ceasing. Not dropping off to sleep but ceasing entirely to exist, never to reawaken, never to know or feel anything anymore. To me that doesn't make sense, and since I have convincing reasons to believe otherwise, so I do.
