Grrr... Parents.

My mum and dad won't believe that I don't have an eating disorder.
They just made me sit in front of them and eat everything on my plate and counted each spoonful. And said they'd listen out tonight to make sure I don't throw it up.
It's so humilating!
Because there's really nothing wrong with me. Sure, I complain about my figure, a lot of girls do. For the fact I was bullied about being 'fat' and 'ugly' for so many years, it's hard for me to break the habit of feeling that way.
But I have never done anything about it, whether that would be anorexia or bulimia.
But still they won't believe me. I hate it.

But I am not ill looking or a stick insect, and because of the holidays my eating routine hasn't been very regular, I'll eat loads when I'm bored, and then eat nothing for a day, because I'm so busy. Thats it really

sounds suspicious to me, sounds like you are making light of it, chances are they have noticed that
a) you are eating erratically
b) you probably dont eat in front of them anymore
c) you have probably become more irritable and moody
call it what you want but to me to not eat for a day then eat a lot when your "bored" or more likely starving you are gradually treading a slippery path, eating disorders are not good and most girls end up having heart attacks

I am friends with a girl who used to be quite chubby (not fat) but she was bullied at school and called fat all the time. She ended up losing tons of weight and becoming 'clinically anorexic' even though she would still eat. I would see her eat and drink and she wouldn't throw it up but she monitored her weight all the time and if she put on a pound or two, she would starve herself so she lost it again. This went on for about 2-3yrs until her boyfriend of 3 years broke up with her as he couldn't handle it anymore. The moment he broke up with her something inside her switched and she realised it was no way to live! She started eating normally and now she is a very healthy weight and looks so much better and she knows it. She is far more confident now.
Do you try and starve yourself or anything like that?
