Do you think that big companies are more likely to employ someone who is disabled / from an ethnic minority? I know it is not PC to suggest this, and that everyone SHOULD be employed depending on their suitability for the job, but.. what do you honestly think?

The question is very not politically correct, touching as it does on things that must not be mentioned. As of enlightened 2007, ALL people are not just equal, but probably superior in every sphere of life, ALL students get A* in everything because everybody is equal. I can't see where it is all going, but since Britain is number one Joke for political correctness and blind loss of reality it doesn't matter.

I beg to differ. All people are equal, only in their minds they are unequal. Society has chosen to nurture this materialistic thought and thus segregation were born. From segregation we get discrimination, racialism and ethical differences. Then culture comes into play.

All men are equal in the sight of God, a pretty futile observation given the near-universal rejection of God these days. But all men are NOT equal in the sight of other men, otherwise everybody would treat everybody else equally, would distribute wealth equally. The eternal problem is that this would require giving loads of money to Africa, Asia, etc, which is a bit of a bind.

That's true. I agree with you. Also that's where communism comes into play.

Many people talk about giving charity and helping the poor; I'd like to know how much of their untouched wealth and riches are they willing to sacrifice or give up to equalise the status of this greedy nation. How many gluttons would grieve and how many poor greedies will be ecstatic.

Hi society, you could be a loss-leader here. I have beer in the fridge, I have eaten well, and have not today written any cheques to the benefit of Africa or Asia. I give to charities in various ways, but nowhere near enough.

What would happen if all of the West (us as individuals included) gave everything we have to Africa and Asia ?

Someone 2000 years ago talked in this terrible fashion.

I work hard for what I own and I don't mind helping those who help themselves. However, lazy, unambitious thugs do not have my sympathy. I stop giving to charities a long time ago. I physically put my charity in the person who needs it hands.
