To jump on Fuzzybee's question, what song lyrics have you thought you heard and have sung until someone corrected you? In the late 80's/early 90's there was the song "Groove is in the heart" and I always thought, though knew it made no sense, that it was "Roses in the Park".

There was a song out a while back called Monster, went something like "whats that coming over the hill, is it a Monster", for some reason I thought it said Boxer, until I was singing away one day and my nephew said to me "what did you just say, Boxer" I sat there with a big grin on my face and said "yeah" great song this isn't it. Then he said to me, I'll google the lyrics, the grin soon turned to a red face.
Bon Jovi - Bad Medicine...my cousin used to sing ''Your love it's like, magnficant'' instead of ''Your love it's like, bad medicine''. She got ribbed for that one!

'They were shining down for you and me, for Lee, Betty
Fernandoooo'

A classic that Noel Edmonds put into my head and it has stayed there ever since, is from Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody

'He's just a poor boy from a poor family,
Spare him his life from this monstrosity'

'this monstrosity' sounds for all the world like 'his pork sausages'

Somewhere over the rainbow
Weigh a Pie

Or that's what I thought it was when I was little!
My wife is a classic for this:

Mustang Sally - she thought it was Must hang Sally and was very disappointed when it turned out to be a car.

Brimful of Asha on the 45 turned into You can't go swimming if you're over 45.
Pink had a song out called "Leave me alone (im lonley), and I used to think it said "You're old and lonley"!

I thought it was a bit of cruel song until I found out the correct title!
As a child I was obsessed with Calamity Jane and thought 'now I shout it, from the highest hills' was 'now I shallis, from the highest hills'. To this day my dad calls the film, 'Now I Shallis'.

Another massive mistake was Wuthering Heights, it wasn't just a word or a line I got completely wrong, it was the whole chorus! Instead of, 'Heathcliff, it's me your Cathy, I've come home, I'm so co-o-o-oold let me in at your windo-o-o-ow' I used to sing, 'Heathcliff, it's me, I'm Cathy, I've come home now, thought ho-o-o-ome could be anywhere, no-o-o-ooo'. It's ot even really similar!
Gene Pitneys 24 hours from Tulsa , I thought it was ..
...24 hours from ulcers
...in Start me Up by the rolling stones the line is " you make a grown man cry" and I always thought it said " you make the crow man cry"..... thought it was a song about a scare crow or summat...lol

here are some classic ones...

What a feeling by Irene Cara - take your passion
- take your pants down

Chiquitita, Abba
Chiquitita, tell me what's wrong...
Kick her teeth out, tell me what's wrong

Summer Of 69 Bryan Adams
I got my first real six-string, bought it at the five and dime Got my first real sex dream, I was 5 at the time.

these two i had minor arguments with the person because they wouldnot accept what i was saying - even though it was the name of the song!

my friend was singing flexic nuneral, instead of electric funeral (black sabbath) - even though its the name of the song and flexic and nuneral are not even real words! absolutely would not have it.

another guy was singing, ''shot down, in a bed of roses'' instead of ''...blaze of glory'', by bon jovi - again its the name of the song! ... but he would not have it.
Up until recently, i always thought that the 'Timewarp' was the 'timewalk!'
