KM Links Game - September week 1 Results

Better late than never they say, and not incognito in her dark glasses this time - and I must say it was not self-inflicted [ pity ] and thank you all for good wishes for my speedy recovery, am much better today.

Well the perverseness of Kate's selection has been mulled over and we're all of the same opinion - she's getting sneaky and we'll have to be on our toes in future.

Needless to say both Friar Bird and Wood Rat eluded us all but Vocal Cords and Dart Board were both predictably popular and the initial flurry had to be seen to be believed.

Four sets of bonus points went to freebi2, DizzyLizzie, bridgenut & slaney so all four are on the top of the heap at the beginning of the new month.

ulysses100 & bangor both grabbed bonus points right at the beginning & sarumite fielded the last of the bonus points.

2 points for good guesses went to lysander, Jim &
Meadow Lane followed by a considerable number who each picked up 1 point - however those points can all add up to a tidy score at the end of proceedings.

Thank you Steff for the mention in dispatches...I just hope that I can keep it rolling over the next few weeks. As somebody mentioned yesterday, in the preamble to the crossword it does say well known phrases, but somehow I don't think that this was the case this week.
Sorry to hear about your indisposition yesterday...I hope that you didn't catch anything from me !!! I'm pleased to hear that you are feeling much better today.....long may your lums reek !

There's no living with Mr. O this week as he scored ONE in the MM links and ONE again on the KM links. This, of course, is against my brilliant scores of NIL and NIL.
Glad to hear Steff that you have disposed of the dark glasses and the world is getting rosier by the minute. Thanks again for keeping score.
