It's a completely fictitious medical complaint which was invented as a practical joke by someone who wanted to confuse people on Answerbank a few years ago. It was meant as a joke, but it rapidly became an urban myth which is so entrenched into the general consciousness of the world that many people actually believe that it exists. I believe that Michael Aspel's children had a yucca plant which suffered from it as well.
