Hi 4getmenot I'm fine thanx :o)
Just finished work early to take over from hubby for the last time as little one start schools tomorrow!!!! Roll on Crimbo when she is full time as she is so ready to be there!!
I always wanted a more interesting name, I suppose I would still quite like it, but now I think my real name is quite pretty even though it's common as muck! (ha ha not really, just alot of us!)
If I was going to chenge it though perhaps it would be Sophia or Charlotte. (I'd secrtely like it to be Pearl or Ruby or Daisy or something but they wouldn't suit me at all!)
It would have to be something that emulated my status in society like Lord Tarquin Fosser or was that Farquin ******, either is fine, providing you just call me Lordy (not lardy). Close friends could call me Brian.
In all serious, the name I have is reasonably cool and suits me.
I like my name because it's not that common but people don't really say "Ooh that's unusual!" which would annoy me! But when I was little I wanted to be called Primrose, I thought it sounded princess-y but would hate it if that was my actual name!
Ive never really liked my name even though every else seems to. Thinking about it, it is a well known name but not popular, I work in a primary school and there isnt anyway else, children and staff, who share my name. I was going to be called Toni and I think out of the two, I actually prefer the one I have (no offence to any Tonis out there!)
The girls at work have picked the name Tarquin Farquoir for my baby!
hate my name its so old fashioned even when i shorten it. I always wanted to be called lisa when i was younger but that was because i wanted to be this girl in my class she was just so good at everything and had really nice hair.
I actually like my name!! My name isnt taliesin, i wouldnt have minded being called taliesing though, even though im female and taliesin was a great welsh bard of many years ago!! If you beleive in celtic mythology that is!!!
My name is spelt in the 'French' way, complete with annoying accent that doesn't appear on a UK keyboard....
I used to buy all sorts of rubbish, when I was little, at the sea-side when I occasionally saw anything with my name on (without accent, admittedly)..............
I didn't like it at all growing up but as there aren't many of us about, people seem to remember the name quite well.....and I think I've grown into it.........
