My grandad is a type 2 diabetic and the family cook him and get his food for him but they are unsure what they should be buying, i have been on the diabetes website but they havent got what i am looking for which is a list of foods that are good and bad so i can give this too them with it not being to complicated.
Glycaemic index is what you should be looking at. It rates food in order of how much sugar they have in them. If you google GI diet that should give you lots of info. You need to buying food that is low in sugar, complex carbohydrates are good cos they release the energy slowly.
