no because that bl00dy neighbour would keep walking in the back door
What? in the 1970's with that dreadful woman living next door? no way.
However, if we had the opportunity to be self sufficiant and barter for stuff we needed such as electricity, gas etc then I would like to try it for perhaps a year, as an experiment
I would have swopped with Tom, yes
No, I've lived in Surbiton. I won't be doing that again.

As regards "living off the land" I wouldn't mind giving it a go, you know, owning some animals and having a veggie patch etc. But I couldn't give everything I have up to change solely to that existence. And there is no way my wife would be convinced either!
No
No way thanks
I'd rathher be rich and live in the big house next door.
you might aswell as the occupier never lived there :-)
Hi , no, I like the supermarket within easy reach :-)
No thanks. I couldn't look after animals or grow veg in the yard of my terraced house anyway.lol
I would want Barbara (thats the kendal woman - right?).

I quite fancy the river cottage life.
No effing way pedro and shadow man you are not working on a site in euston london are you because your name is graffitied on one of the walls on site or is the name just a character from somwhere
No way! I don't want to look like a woman who grows her own organic vegetables. Not a good image at all.

I grow my own chillies though. That's as far as my gardening abilities go.
Well looks like Im the only one that would then. I love the idea of being self sufficient. I'd go live on one of those funny communes tomorrow.
I would swap in a minute.
Love the idea of living off the land and being self sufficient.
No pressures of work either.
Almost all the veggies we eat are from the garden, so if I could afford it, like a shot.
Can I swap with him and 'have a cuddle' with felicity kendal?
We did it - it's tough. I still do it, on my own now, but I've had to go out & get a job as well. It's a lovely life, albeit hard, especially when you have to get up at 6 in the morning, in the winter when it's snowing or solid ice outside, because you have to do the livestock before you go to work! (After you've cracked the ice on their drinking water and humped a few bales of hay out for the sheep!) You don't get any early nights in the summer, either, even when you're kn*****ed, because you have to wait for the chickens to go in, so's you can lock them up for the night. Despite all that, would I change it? Absolutely not!!! I'd go nuts living in a town or having to put up with neighbours, and at least I know what goes in to the food I eat.
